Are your horses vaccinated for tetanus and strangles?
Warning: Tetanus can occur in horses even though there is no obvious wound present. Once your horse is showing signs of the disease, it is fatal!
Strangles is a highly infectious disease of the glands of the throat. The glands turn into abscesses which discharge pus and infect other horses! Make sure your horses are vaccinated for strangles too!
Both are annual vaccinations!
