Dr. Rod Irwin, BVSc MVS

Rod has been working at Warragul Veterinary Clinic and Devoted Vets since 1982. He is now owner and director of the clinic and still loves working with the animals of the district, their

owners, and the clinic team. Rod completed a Masters degree in dairy medicine in 1998, but enjoys working with all species of animals.

He is married to Celia, and has three children, three step children, and two golden retrievers – Poppy and Bollie!

He enjoys walking, travelling, the results of gardening, and if time permits, the odd day skiing very fast!

Dr. Matthew Jaques, BVSc IVAS Cert

Matt graduated from Melbourne University in 1994, and has since worked in mixed practice in England, Wales and in Gippsland. Matt has developed an interest in accupuncture and avian medicine.

Matt is married to Sherri and together they have three children. They also have Rosie the Cavalier and Hudson the Burmese cat.

In his spare time, Matt appreciates good coffee.

Dr. Bridie Stammers, BVSc MVS MANZCVS

Bridie worked in the Goulburn Valley in dairy practice for three years before moving to Gippsland and has been in mixed practice for the last ten years. She has a Masters in small animal practice and membership of Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in small animal surgery. Bridie has a special interest in surgery and orthopaedics.

Bridie lives with her husband on a dairy farm with Tiny the Great Dane, Stan the kelpie, Henry the goat and four cats Didgy, Dukes, Camille and Pepsi.

Grace Holt – Veterinary Nurse

Grace is currently completing her certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She has been working with us for 4 years. Grace has a special interest in horses and likes to compete in eventing with her thoroughbred Sam.

Grace lives with her partner Cameron and their two Puggles, Murphy & Zara the rescue dog.

Jessica Fernance – Groomer

Jessica has been working with animals for around 11years, she worked in a boarding kennels training as a groomer under the guidance of a well known breeder and show judge. Jessica also has a Certificate III in animal companionship.

Jessica is the ultimate pet pamperer making sure all of our grooming clients are well looked after.

She has 2 elderly cats and an American Staffy called Rogue.

Raelene Lees – Administration

Raelene has many years experience in finance and administration. She has been working with the clinic part-time for 4 years. She loves the variety of her job.

Raelene lives with her husband Garry, they have two adult children and dogs Chuck the Labrador and Syd (A Devoted Vets rescue dog).
